India targets $200B in AI investments over two years
India expects to attract more than $200B in AI-driven investments within two years, a top federal minister said at the India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi. PM Modi's administration designed a five-layer framework covering applications, models, compute, data centers, and energy infrastructure.
The summit drew 250,000 visitors and global AI leaders including Altman, Amodei, and Pichai. Separately, Adani Group pledged $100B by 2035 for green-powered AI data centers, expected to pull in an additional $150B in related investments.
