Irish data watchdog probes X over Grok's sexualized AI images of EU residents
Ireland's Data Protection Commission launched an investigation into X over sexualized images created using Grok, including images of children. The probe will determine whether X complied with EU data processing obligations under GDPR.
The investigation follows weeks of controversy that saw Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines temporarily suspend Grok access. California's AG also launched a probe. X has limited Grok's image generation since, but regulators keep piling on.
