Mistral acquires Koyeb to become full-stack AI cloud provider

French AI company Mistral made its first acquisition, buying Paris-based Koyeb to accelerate its Mistral Compute cloud infrastructure offering. Koyeb's 13 employees and three co-founders join Mistral, bringing expertise in serverless deployment and isolated AI agent environments. The deal confirms Mistral's ambition to move beyond LLM development into a full-stack player. Koyeb's platform will help Mistral deploy models on clients' own hardware, optimize GPU utilization, and scale AI inference, while continuing to operate its existing platform.
