WordPress launches AI assistant for editing sites with natural language

WordPress rolled out a built-in AI assistant that lets users edit websites through natural language commands. The tool works inside the site editor and media library, handling layout changes, style adjustments, text editing, translation, and image generation using Google's Nano Banana. Users can also tag the AI with @ai in block notes for specific tasks like editing text blocks or suggesting headlines. Sites built with WordPress's AI website builder have the feature enabled by default; others can toggle it on in settings.
