Google launches Lyria 3 AI music generation inside Gemini app

Google rolled out DeepMind's Lyria 3 model inside the Gemini app, letting users generate 30-second music tracks from text prompts, photos, or videos. The model automatically generates lyrics, vocals, and cover art, and supports eight languages globally. Every track is watermarked with SynthID. Google says the tool is "designed for original expression, not for mimicking existing artists," though naming an artist in a prompt will produce a track in a similar style. Lyria 3 is also coming to YouTube's Dream Track tool for creator soundtracks.
