DeepMind veteran David Silver raises $1B seed for Ineffable Intelligence, Europe's largest ever
David Silver, the AI researcher who led Google DeepMind's AlphaGo project, is raising roughly $1B for his London-based startup Ineffable Intelligence. Led by Sequoia Capital at a $4B pre-money valuation, it would be the largest seed round ever closed by a European startup.
The company rejects the dominant LLM paradigm entirely. Instead of training on massive text datasets, Ineffable's systems learn through reinforcement learning and world models, improving autonomously through trial and error, much like humans or animals adapt to their environment.
