Freeform raises $67M to scale AI-powered metal 3D printing with hundreds of lasers
Freeform, founded by ex-SpaceX engineers, raised a $67M Series B to upgrade its 3D metal printing system from 18 lasers to hundreds, targeting thousands of kilograms of parts per day. Investors include Founders Fund and Nvidia's NVentures.
The company runs H200 GPU clusters on site for real-time physics-based simulations, calling its platform "AI native." CEO Erik Palitsch said Freeform may be "the only manufacturing company out there that has H200 clusters in a data center on site."
