Mirai raises $10M to optimize AI model inference on Apple Silicon devices
London-based Mirai, founded by ex-Reface and Prisma co-founders, raised a $10M seed led by Uncork Capital to build a framework for better on-device AI performance. The 14-person team built an inference engine for Apple Silicon that optimizes on-device throughput.
The startup targets the gap between cloud-focused AI infrastructure and consumer hardware needs. Consumer app developers told the founders they wanted better cost optimization and margin per token usage on devices.
