McConaughey urges actors to trademark their likeness against AI replication
Matthew McConaughey told a CNN/Variety town hall at UT Austin that actors must legally protect their likeness before AI makes it irrelevant to object on moral grounds. "There's too much money to be made, and it's too productive. It's here," he said.
McConaughey has already secured eight trademarks on his own likeness. He advised students: "Own yourself, voice, likeness. Trademark it! So when it comes, no one can steal you."
