Alphabet's Intrinsic robotics software company merges into Google to accelerate physical AI
Alphabet-owned Intrinsic, which builds AI models and software to make industrial robots more accessible, is joining Google while remaining a distinct entity. Intrinsic will work closely with Google DeepMind and tap into Gemini AI models and Google Cloud infrastructure. Alphabet did not disclose financial terms.
Intrinsic graduated from Alphabet X moonshot lab in 2021, then acquired Vicarious and Open Robotics divisions. Google now competes directly with Nvidia's Isaac platform and Boston Dynamics in industrial robotics software.
