Google's Gemini gets first agentic powers on Samsung Galaxy S26 and Pixel 10, ordering Ubers autonomously
Google announced Gemini will automate multi-step tasks, ordering Ubers and placing DoorDash orders directly within apps on Samsung Galaxy S26 and Pixel 10. The beta task automation feature opens apps in a secure virtual window, completes steps autonomously, and alerts users before final confirmation. Android ecosystem president Sameer Samat called it a step toward treating Android as an intelligence system rather than an OS.
Samsung simultaneously unveiled the Galaxy S26 lineup at its San Francisco Unpacked event, starting at $899.99 and powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, shipping March 11th. The agentic Gemini directly challenges Apple's still-unreleased enhanced Siri features announced at WWDC 2024.
