Google partners with ex-Twitter CEO's $2B AI search startup Parallel

Google is deepening its partnership with Parallel Web Systems, the AI search startup founded by former Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, offering it to Cloud customers building agents with Gemini. Parallel has raised $230M and was valued at $2B in April. Parallel retrieves web information for AI models rather than human readers, surfacing material buried deep in documents. Google offers the tool alongside its own grounding products as a customer-choice play, in a problem area also targeted by rivals like Exa.
