Google Search AI Mode adds app integrations for Instacart, Canva, and YouTube

Google's AI Mode in Search now lets US users link and act inside select apps, starting with Instacart, Canva, and YouTube. The move pushes conversational search beyond answering questions into completing tasks, like adding ingredients to an Instacart cart or building a YouTube Music playlist. The rollout mirrors app-connection features already in the Gemini app and directly targets ChatGPT and Claude, both of which support app integrations. Google says more partners will follow.
