Gravity raises $30.5M to sell ads inside AI chatbots, and to the agents themselves
Adtech startup Gravity closed a $30.5 million Series A co-led by Lightspeed and Committed Capital, bringing total funding to $38.5 million. It runs a full-stack platform: a DSP for placing text ads inside AI chatbots, an SSP for AI app developers to monetize, and an exchange connecting them. Clients include Best Buy, Target, Vercel, and MongoDB, with placements in ChatGPT, Codebuff, EcoGPT, and others.
Gravity is also testing "agent-to-agent" ads that humans never see: advertisers supply product catalogs with current features and promotions, and the agent shopping for shoes receives the advertiser list directly. A cofounder thinks AI ads will become the world's largest advertising channel.
